More ideas on translating your WordPress Blog
While researching my previous post about translation of WordPress Blogs, I stumbled upon this excellent article. Again it describes the Global Translator as the best plugin for creating multi language WordPress Blogs. The author also describes how you can get the translated pages indexed with Google with the help of Google XML Site-map Generator.
Note that the translated posts and pages are NOT visible in, or possible to update through, the WordPress admin area. But they are in the site map and will be indexed by search Engines.
Read to the end of this page for some funny global translation mistakes.

Using WordPress and Google Translator to Rank on Other Languages
Author: Stacy J. Backes
You may want to translate your own website content in order to rank in another language. How long would it take to translate the entire web content into 50 languages? Even if you hire translators worked around the clock, it would cost you hundreds.
Rank Better by Translate Your Website Content with Google Translate
Nowadays, your visitor no need to add your content manually to the translator tools, it takes times and most of them not willing to give more times just to translate your content, especially if our site is a brand new site.
The problem with most of the automated translations is still not that good. If you are blogging for a big company, it is recommended to translate the content with the help of the local language speaking people. I would prefer to hire a translate for the specific language as online translate software sometimes do not show exact meaning.
WordPress Plugin Make Translating Process Easier
Global Translator. If you build a niche site, will be very excellent if you can be indexed and ranked well on search engines. For WordPress users this can be done easily. You only need two plugins to do this. The first tools are for automatically translating your content, and the second is the plugin to build site maps for every translator you have been made.
So that each translator will appear as an independent site. This plugin also features integration Sitemap. This is where our second plugin will work.
All you need is a Google XML Sitemaps Generator for WordPress. Google XML Sitemaps Generator for WordPress plugin generates a XML-Sitemap compliant sitemap of your WordPress blog. This format is supported by Ask.com, Google, YAHOO and MSN Search. XML-Sitemaps can help you to get indexed by the major search engines.
Now you can automatically translate a blog to 48 different languages by wrapping several online translation engines (Google Translation Engine and Babelfish Translation Engine) and in the same time push your site content to index fast.
It may not be giving the best result, but it was still worth since you can get fast indexing and rank for several languages and getting free traffic from it. As you know, on IM world traffic mean potential buyer, and it\’s all mean more money.
